Cameroon – Far North: Two members of the Boko Haram sect killed by the BIR in Walassa

These terrorists were ambushed by the armed forces on the night of Saturday, July 8th.
Two members of the Islamist sect Boko Haram were shot dead at about 4 am on Saturday in the bush of
Walassa, which is 7 kilometers from Amchide, in the Far North Region, on Monday 10 July 2017, reports L’ŒIL du Sahel newspaper. According to news reports, the terrorists were ambushed by the Rapid Intervention Brigade (BIR), while they were part of a group traveling on four motorcycles, each carrying three people.
The four drivers were men and passengers were women. There were eight women and four men. I think the women were suicide bombers sent to their targets, “says Amadou Jeremie, chairman of the vigilante comittee of Amchida.

Unfortunately, apart from the two suicide bombers killed by the BIR, the other ten terrorists ran away, leaving no trace to find them. A situation that worries all the same Amadou Jeremie: “What is certain is that they divided into small groups to rush towards their goals. That is why we must redouble our vigilance to neutralize them “. It should be noted that in the border areas at Walassa are part of the supply poles of Boko Haram. Very often, food is transported with the complicity of the populations of the said localities.
In the village of Kerawa, two women kamikazes stuffed with explosives attempted to enter this village on Sunday, July 9 at around 3 am. But they were stopped by members of the vigilante committee who were watching.
