The Bamenda Bafut Airport in the North West Region of Cameroon has
officially been opened to air traffic. The airport received its first
passengers from Cameroon’s lone airliner Camair-Co M60 plane on July 20.The plane which took off from the Yaoundé Nsimalen international
airport at about 12:20 pm local time for Bamenda in a flight that was
scheduled to last one hour, had on board Transport Minister, Edgard
Alain Mebe Ngo, some top government officials and business persons.
