Boko Haram insurgents identified among refugees’ returnees

At least nine Boko Haram insurgents and 100 accomplices were identified among 920 Nigerian refugees who returned from Marwa in Cameroon on Wednesday, the Daily Post reports.

Quoting Ahmed Satomi in the report, “the insurgents were arrested during screening of the returnees at the Nigerian border town of Banki by security personnel.”
The Borno State Emergency Management Agency has since revealed that it arrested the Boko Haram fighters who were trying to enter Nigeria from Cameroon.
The agency, in a statement issued on Saturday, July 1, 2017, said that 100 accomplices were also identified.
Meanwhile, troops waging war against Boko Haram have killed five members of the sect who were trying to steal food supplies in Borno state.
