ONE PERSON KILLED IN A BOKO HARAM ATTACK

Abba Choua, a 20-year-old vigilante member was killed Wednesday after boko haram terroris
t attacked his community.
According to reports, the terrorists used heavy weapons to fight with the military who had gathered to fight back. The assailants reportedly fled after heavy bullets exchange.
The military later undertook a sweep operation on the routes used by the terrorists. However, the latter had taken the trouble, presumably before the attack, to lay mines on the way. For the sweep operation, the soldiers requested the services of the members of the local vigilance committee, who were to serve as guides. During the operation, the scouts discovered an improvised explosive device concealed on the road. In trying to show it to the soldiers behind, one of them, Abba Choua who walked on the hidden mine, got killed. His two vigilante colleagues, aged between 25 and 30, were seriously injured and were immediately rushed to the Mora hospital.
