Syndy Emade’s ‘A Man For The Weekend’ premieres soon
on November 5 at the Hilton Hotel in Yaounde.
Syndy Emade seems to be doing everything right as a Cameroonian filmmaker; her movies and strides as a top notch actress has been making headline news, and her soon to be release “A Man for the Weekend”, has been described as one of the not to miss out movie debuts this season.
A Man for the weekend follows the story of Candace Ayuk, (Syndy Emade) a young business executive who has no time for the pleasures of life, much to the chagrin of her mother who wants to see her settle down. This drives a wedge between the two as Candy finds herself avoiding her mother’s calls for obvious reasons. Fate however plays a prank on her as she finds herself trapped by a promise to her mother given that she must pay her a visit over the weekend with her “boyfriend”, a character obviously non-existent in her life. This starts her quest for a man for the weekend, and she finally agrees on a business deal with Bryan Mbah (Alexx Ekubo), an intern with her firm, who unknown to her, is a secret admirer.
Directed by Achille Brice, the movie stars Syndy Emade, popular Nollywood actor, Alexx Ekubo, Solange Ojong, Nchifor Valery amongst others.
