Anglophone crises: Have some anglophones given up on the struggle

Popular opinion among anglophones in Cameroon say the struggle for independence or federation
seems to have ended based on the following reasons; schools have not been effective in NW and SW but recently, schools have effectively resumed and students and pupils are seen in anglophone towns such as Kumba, Buea, Limbe, Bamenda, just to name a few, going to school in uniforms and they are even taking up class examinations; the national anthem of Cameroon is being sung and the flag is hoisted every where including NW and SW; even the operation 'ghost town' seems to have ended as normal activities go on on supposed gost town days. Also, attempts by the PM, Philemon Yang and his entourage to restore peace and dialogue seem to have yielded fruits. However, most civilians say that the so called anglophone elites and chiefs have been bought off their course with heavy sums of money, and that is why the struggle seems to be dying down. It should be noted that this struggle has claimed uncountable lives and properties. So the question is will all of these sacrifices be in vain. Some people even think that giving up on the struggle will make an already bad situation worse for the anglophone minority. However, rumors have it that negotiations are going on underground towards realizing cessation or at least, federation, and there are proofs that not every one has given up, for example, the recent riot of the SDF members of parliament in the national assembly.
