Ambazonian war: President Biya said "its my duty to restore order and punish the guilty" during the luncheon for the visit of the commonwealth secretary general

While Cameroon was already engaged in the fight against Boko Haram in the Far North region, “this
is the moment that extremists have chosen to attack and murder isolated law enforcement officers, name of a terrorist organization claiming clearly secessionist objectives, “said Paul Biya in his speech.
Guarantor of institutions, according to our Constitution, and in particular of national unity, it is my duty to restore order and punish the guilty of these murders,” he added.

The President of the Republic did not fail to expose the measures taken by the government to provide solutions to the Anglophone crisis, by creating, in particular, the National Commission for the Promotion of Bilingualism and Multiculturalism.
I have always thought that bilingualism and multiculturalism are exceptional assets for our country, in that they allow us to have access to two great cultures and to dialogue, in their languages, with a large number of people, especially in Africa. I am convinced that the vast majority of Cameroonians share this point of view. That is why I will persist in seeking solutions that will strengthen our national unity, “said Paul Biya.
Patricia Scotland’s visit ends next Friday. The remainder of the program of her stay includes a courtesy call on the Minister of External Relations, as well as meetings with the President of the Senate and the President of the National Assembly, and with the High Commissioners accredited in Yaounde.
