Commonwealth Secretary General in Yaounde

Patricia Scotland, Secretary General of the Commonwealth who arrived Yaounde last night, for a five
day working visit, is expected to meet with President Biya, Prime Minister Philemon Yang and some representatives of the Cameroon’s civil society.
According to an official program published by the Secretariat at the Presidency of the Republic, the Commonwealth SG will today, December 19, pay a courtesy visit to the Ministry of External Relations. By Midday, she is expected to be at the Unity Palace where she will have a closed door discussion with the Head of State, Paul Biya.
Patricia Scotland going by the program, will equally visit the President of both the Senate, National Assembly and the British High Commissioner to Caneroon later today.
On Wednesday and Thursday, Patricia Scotland is expected to visit the Chantal Biya reference center, meet with officials of ELECAM, Anti corruption unit, CONAC, National Human rights commission, leaders of political parties, civil society actors and business men.
   On Friday, which is her last day in Cameroon, Patricia Scotland will meet with leaders of the Commission for the Promotion of Bilingualism and Multiculturalism, before granting a press conference in the afternoon. Her departure from Cameroon is scheduled for December 22. Prior to that, the Commonwealth SG will be received in audience by Prime Minister, Philemon Yang.
Patricia Scotland is accompanied, by her closest collaborators like Senyo Agbohlah,  Deputy Director of the SG Cabinet, Lindiwe Maleleka, the Political Affairs Officer and Ben Moley, Head of the Communication Department at the Commonwealth
