Cameroon – Pr. Fame Ndongo: MINESUP Promises To Deal With Fake Certificates In UB
The Minister of Higher Education Professor Jacques Fame Ndongo has promised to look into issues of fake certificates in the University of Buea while in Yaoundé.
He made the promise in Buea Monday July
10, 2017 in front of disgruntled students who brandished placards
denouncing the constant circulation of fake certificates in the
institution.
The students gathered in front of amphi theatre Dorothy Njeuma chanting, “No Advance Level, No UB.”
Their reaction came following the discovery of how the Mayor of Buea Patrick Ekema Esunge used a failed GCE advance level certificate to gain admissions in the university.
The higher education boss was in Buea to install newly appointed officials at the university. He urged the new team Professor Horace Ngomo Manga and Professor Ako Edward Oben as Vice Chancellor and Pro Chancellor respectively, to maintain the legacy of the outgoing VC whom he described as iron lady.
